26 health workers abandon hospital after receiving slaps from soldiers who invaded Obom township

26 health workers of the Obom Health Centre in the Domeabra-Obom constituency of the Greater Accra Region of Ghana are said to have been left traumatized after hundreds of military personnel invaded the town over the assault of two (2) military personnel.

Speaking to the media, Administrator of the facility, Adam Dramani narrated that the Military officers fired numerous gunshots during the arrest of civilians in the town.

The two soldiers assaulted at Obom near Kasoa over a piece of land.

According to him, some of the health workers received various slaps and beatings from the military personnel.

Some of the workers were arrested in the process according to him.

Adding, he said that many of the health workers have refused to report for work because they have been traumatized after the incident.

Adam Dramani appealed to the military to maintain calm in the Obom township.
