Come show your nakedness to Akufo-Addo on June 21 – ASEPA boss charges women

The Executive Director of the Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA), Mensah Thompson, has charged women in Ghana to display their buttocks and other private parts in a planned demonstration.

The upcoming demonstration to be organised by a group affiliated with the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) called the Arise Ghana Group is slated for June 21, 2020.

Speaking at a press conference in Accra organised by the group on corruption, economic hardship and bad governance by the Nana Addo administration, the group served notice that the demonstration will echo the grieve and pains Ghanaians are going through under current harsh economic conditions in the country.

Taking his turn to address the gathering, the ASEPA boss wondered by traditional leaders and other prominent individuals in the country have failed to speak out and call out the Nana-Bawumia administration for plunging the country into its current state while looting its natural resources.

“The Chiefs who are in this country and are silent, the clergymen who are silent. The Chiefs are watching for Nana Akufo-Addo to take away all the gold and yet you are quiet. Our Chiefs must wake up. Where are all the elderly people in this country? Where are all the wise people in this country? Have you all become women? Akufo-Addo has made you all become women” he said.

He continued that ” let’s rise up and show that we are not cowards. We must show that we are brave people and we are not women. So on the 21st of June, wake up and the women must come and show their nakedness to Akufo Addo. Let him see that you are brave people. The women must show that they are braver than Akufo-Addo. It is a thief who is a coward”.

He stressed that such a decision by women to embark on a naked demonstration will make the president stay indoors and feel ashamed.
