Police patrol team shoot 29-year-old man at Sefwi

Akontombra Police patrol team has shot a man during a night patrol at Sefwi Asantekrom in the Sefwi Akontombra district of the Western North region of Ghana.

Narrating the incident Western Regional Crime Officer, Nana Kwaku Duah (ASP), said that the Ghana Police Service in the Western Region initiated a day and night patrol in the area.

It was one of thee patrols that the team met two (2) men who they decided to search because they carried a suspicious bag.

A group of young men came out from the bush to attack the police officers leading to the firing of warning shots.

The warning shots did not scare away the young men who still attacked the police officers nevertheless.

who was rushed to the Wiawso Government Hospital and later the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi for further treatment.
