Sarkodie shocked as ‘Black Love’ Concert crashes internet with over 1.5m viewers
Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has explained how the streaming platform for his ‘Black Love Concert’ crashed, saying he didn’t anticipate a lot of people will stream it.
The concert which came off Sunday, August 16, 2020 featured performances from stars like Shatta Wale, Efya Nokturnal, Kidi and King Promise.
Sarkodie in a phone interview on the Daybreak Hitz show said the streaming platform- CEEK which was supposed to allow fans access the show online by a pay per view suddenly crashed over excessive traffic.
According to him, CEEK recorded over 1.5 million streams in a moment which caused it to shut down denying many music lovers a chance to enjoy the show.
He added that he collaborated with CEEK because it is owned by a Ghanaian and they have successfully streamed virtual concerts by some very established artistes.
